Annulment in Oklahoma

Information
You can ask an Oklahoma court for an annulment if you can establish two (2) things:
- Residency
- Reason or Grounds for an annulment
Residency:
You must meet one of the following:
- the marriage was performed in Oklahoma OR
- one of the parties to the marriage is a current resident.
To be a resident of Oklahoma for an annulment you must:
- be a resident of Oklahoma for 6 months "in good faith" and
- have been a resident of the County you are filing in, for more than 30 days
Reason or Grounds for an annulment:
You must meet one of the following:
- If one of the parties to the marriage was NOT eligible to be married at the time of the marriage
- if they were under 18,
- mentally incompetent,
- married to some other person at the time of the marriage
- if they had been divorced from someone else for less than 6 months
- OR the marriage has not been consummated
- OR the person asking for the annulment was tricked or deceived into marrying the other person by some type of "fraud.
