Having trouble using LiveHelp?
You don't need to install any software or plug-ins to use LiveHelp. You do need an Internet connection and one of the following Web browsers:

For Windows: Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 or higher; Firefox 1.0.7 or higher; or Netscape 4.7 or higher

For Apple Mac users: Internet Explorer 5.1 or higher; Netscape 4.7 or higher; Firefox 1.0.7 or higher; or Safari 1.0 v. 85 or higher.

Some public wi-fi providers block certain types of links or internet sites using chat features.

What is LiveHelp?
LiveHelp helps you find information on OKLaw.org.
You talk with an OKLaw.org Web site navigator by typing your question. Your question is sent immediately to the navigator, and the navigator quickly sends you the location of the information you're looking for, if available. (This is also called "chatting" or "instant messaging.")
LiveHelp is a project of the Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, the Legal Services Corporation and Pro Bono Net.
Who will I chat with?
You chat with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma staff and volunteers. The staff and volunteers have been trained to help find information on OKLaw.org.
Who may use LiveHelp?
LiveHelp is for low- and moderate-income visitors to OKLaw.org. Other people who help low- and moderate-income people may also use LiveHelp.
When is LiveHelp available?
LiveHelp is usually available

Monday through Friday. 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Central)

How does LiveHelp work?
LiveHelp is convenient and easy to use. Just click on the "LiveHelp" button on any page to start. Fill out the brief survey to help our agents better serve you.
Sometimes a wi-fi provider will block certain web sites. You may not always be able to use LiveHelp.

What types of questions can I ask?
LiveHelp will help you find information on OKLaw.org. OKLaw.org has information about common civil legal problems, such as divorce, identity theft, landlord and tenant problems, and disability benefits. OKLaw.org does not have information about criminal issues.
We will do our best to find resources or give you a phone number where you can get more help.
We can't give legal advice, and we can't tell you what to do to solve your legal problem.

LiveHelp is free! Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma and a grant from the Legal Services Corportation provide LiveHelp as a service to OKLaw.org visitors.

Is LiveHelp Section 508 compliant?
LiveHelp uses LivePerson's Timpani software, which meets all current guidelines for compliance with Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act (29 U.S.C.-794d) and ADA Guidelines.
The LivePerson software is designed to work with standard assistive technology hardware (such as specialty keyboards and Braille readers) as well as operating system technologies (such as stickykeys and mousekeys.)

Do not tell the navigator anything confidential. You don't have an attorney-client relationship with an OKLaw.org navigator.
The other side in your case may contact LiveHelp for more information. In that case, OKaw.org navigators will also give him or her information.

What information does LiveHelp collect?

Every chat is recorded by Timpani, the software that we use. Timpani is owned by LivePerson ( http://www.liveperson.com/).
